The President of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. Zuma today commenced a State Visit in London to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall welcomed The President and Mrs. Zuma on behalf of Her Majesty at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.
The President of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. Zuma, accompanied by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, drove to Horse Guards and were met by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
The President of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. Zuma, accompanied by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, drove in a Carriage Procession to Buckingham Palace with a Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry.
Gun Salutes were fired in Green Park by The King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, and at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.
A Guard of Honour was provided at Horse Guards by Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards.
Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and a Detachment of Household Cavalry were on duty.
The Queen presented The President of the Republic of South Africa with the Insignia of an Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath.
The Earl of Wessex called upon The President at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
The President of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. Zuma later drove to Westminster Abbey where His Excellency laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
The President and Mrs. Zuma afterwards visited the Family Home of Oliver Tambo, Windermere Road, London N11.
The President of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. Zuma later visited Alexandra Park School, Bidwell Gardens, London N11, and were received by Mr. Vernon Coaker MP (Minister of State, Department for Children, Schools and Families) and the Mayor of Haringey (Councillor Bernice Vanier).
